  • ❈ If you’re sent home with a Recovery Derm Shield Bandage ❈

The bandage stays on for 3-5 days.

The plasma underneath is perfectly normal, leave it alone.

The Derm Shield is water resistant, You’ll be able to take a shower with it on.

If the bandage starts leaking or the tattoo gets exposed, remove the bandage.

    ❈ Removing Derm Shield

Wash your hands with warm water and unscented antibacterial soap. (Gold Dial works)

Peel a corner of the bandage and start removing under warm running water, pulling downwards over itself. (Not upwards)

Wash your new tattoo with antibacterial soap, and pat dry with a clean paper towel. Use unscented and unmedicated lotion to moisturize. (Do not apply too much, your tattoo needs to breathe to heal!) Remove excess with a clean paper towel.

Clean your new tattoo 3 times a day. (Remember to wash your hands before cleaning your new tattoo)

    ❈ After Care Continued ❈

When your tattoo is healing, do not pick or scratch! Leave it alone, and do its thing.

If you have animals, wash your bedsheets and not let them sleep with you while your tattoo is healing. Pet dander can cause complications.
